Skillet's 'Awake' is perhaps one of the most epic and amazing albums from the band to date. With a feel, strongly to Comatose, Awake brings in new messages of hope and Freedom. It brings in, electric guitars and new, vibrant strings into each and every track.

Philmont, is also worth the listen. For fans of Hawk Nelson, and Stellar Kart, Philmont's new CD is the perfect addition to an epic punk/rock collection.

Tomorrow, I will most likely pick up, new rock band, Abandon's release, 'Searchlights'. Abandon has somewhat of an alternative, Switchfoot style, as well as the lead vocalist's similar voice. The songs seem to leave you with a warm and fuzzy feeling, wrapped around your heart tight, ;ike your favorite blanket. Abandon is definitely my pic for the week. Also, be sure to catch them on tour with Fireflight this fall!

For Music news this week, there's just as much excitement.

Remember Britt Nicole? Her newest single 'The Lost Get Found' is currently perched brilliantly atop the Billboard Top Christian Chart as Number 1 . If you haven't listened to it yet, be sure to catch it on radio, or check iTunes for a clip!

Artist Sara Groves has been working on a documentary, called the Nomad Series, which tells the tales of nine young travelers determined to change the heart of Africa. The documentary from INO Records/Provident-Integrity will be available on September 15th.

Popular record label, Word Entertainment, welcomes The Breen Agency. Breen will serve as a unique partner for plenty of services including, booking, tours merchandise as well as online affairs.

August 18th, where has the summer gone....

Wow, August 18th already. The summer has come and almost gone, well, technically not, but when school starts, summer is long gone. However, fall to me is the best time of the year. The start of fall tours and artists tend to release more music in the fall. It.Is.Great.

Oh, well of course school is in full awing as well, soon...but not yet.

To start off, here are the new releases for the week of Tuesday, August 18th.

- Manic Drive - Blue - bemanmedia - Provident
- Everyday Process - Outtadisworld - Cross Movement Records - Provident
- GRITS - From Scratch - Revolution Arts - Provident

Music this week, is as follows.

Lincon Brewster will rerelease 'Today is the Day' as a deluxe edition as a CD/DVD package. That will launch on September on September 22, so pre order if you so do chose.

Popular contemporary rock artist Builiding 429 is teaming up with Todd Agnew for the 'Promise Remains' Tour. New female group, Kimber Rising, is along for the tour as well. As I always say, Tour Big, end Big. Casting Crowns used to be an opener band too. The tour is a massive 40 dates, starting September 17th. So be sure to check those out to see if they're stopping by close.

Teen Mania Ministries launched thier own record Company, named EE-Taow Records. The label is for new Worship musicians.

One of my friends kept telling me over and over how excited she was about Britt Nicole's newest release. And although I am not much of a fan for the usual pop style, NRT helped to somewhat sway my otherwise, critical opinion. The CD breaks in with its strong base led, guitar jumping tracks and before I knew it, was completely sucked in. 'How we Roll' was definitely my style of in your face bass, but the CD's title The Lost Get Found is probably the best I have Ever heard. Lyrically, this girl has grown. It's worth a listen for the lyrics at least, even if pop isn't your style. I threw in the track listing just for kicks. This CD is purely pop driven, but it's nothing to shun upon. It was far better than I had expected. so if anything, check out the 30 sec clips on iTunes at least.

1.The Lost Get Found (3:25)

2. How We Roll (3:12)

3. Safe (3:22)

4. Hanging On (3:25)

5. Headphones (3:41)

6. Welcome To The Show (3:22)

7. Walk On The Water (3:50)

8. Glow (3:01)

9. Like A Star (3:53)

10. Feel The Light (3:39)

11. Have Your Way (3:39)

Tooth & Nail celebrated 2 releases with Starflyer 59's indie feel along with the hard, loud grungy sounds of Showbread. Pretty sure both of them for have been lingering around music for than 10 years in the Music biz. This is all routine for them it seems.

The rest of this weeks releases are compilations, bluegrass of new artists. New artists that have either failed at promotion or don't have much to say. Sorry about that.

-This week in Music news.-

Rapper B. Reith plans to release a full album on September 22, titled 'Now is Not Forever'. His style is pretty ecliptic, reminds me a lot of Toby Mac meets KJ 52.
Popular artist Jars of Clay is gearing up and preparing to head off on a busy fall tour, so be sure to check out their tour dates if you're a fan.

Also, Mercy Me's Tour Bus was involved in a car crash. 2 of the 3 people in the car died and the survivor is pregnant. She, along with her baby are said to in stable condition. Please keep them all in your prayers.

If You have an account with New Release Tuesday, stop in this week to Listen to Phil Stacy's (From American Idol) New release 'into The Light' available on the 25th. You can pre order an autographed copy at Musichristian.com for only $10.97!
